David C. Hill is a poet and playwright. He is a retired computer software developer who worked on the Launch Processing System at the Kennedy Space Center. He has been writing plays since the mid-sixties, when he studied scriptwriting under the great Rod Serling. He took time out to raise a family but resumed writing in the 1980s. His poetry has won several awards in Florida Poetry Competitions. His poetry has not been published because of his belief that poetry must be oral. It should not be bound to little black splotches on paper.

He was one of the founding members of Playwrights Workshop in Cocoa Florida. It has been producing original plays for over 21 years. He was also a member of the Playwright's Round Table in Orlando, FL. He moved to this area in 2005. Locally, he is know for "Remember Me?" in Ashland Contemporary Theatre's "Local Produce" last January. His other short plays include "There Must Be Unicorns", "Why Can't He Be Like You?", and "The Acceptance". In 2010 ACT presented his full length comedy, "Larry's Best Friend". He is a founding member of the Ashland Playwrights' Project and ACT treasurer. He is a member in good standing of the Dramatists Guild of America.
