Vera Wildauer has been writing poetry, off and on, since the fourth grade. Due to being pretty lazy, she's rarely been published. Mostly in school or college literary journals. She does, however, frequently read her poetry, fiction, and memoir pieces at the Manzanita Writers' Series open mic events (which she cofounded in 2008). She was born in Portland, the only child of immigrants, which might explain a lot. She is married, mother of a grown son, and lives mostly in Manzanita.
